OG
I was a stray found running down Orange Grove Boulevard, hence the name OG. Although I do like to think I’m pretty original too!
Rifkah, Feather, & Adelida
We came from a home with LOTS of pigs and not enough money to buy us food. We were literally starving and were so happy to be saved by Ironwood.
Moe
This is the life! Relaxing in the shade in the pool, not a care in the world. All pigs should be as happy as I am!
Conner & Daisy
We were rescued from different situations but both ended up living in the Princess Field. We met and fell in love!
Bailey
This tomato is so huge, but boy, is it delicious! I love it when we get treats like this.
Nick
Word got around via Facebook that I was going to be slaughtered and eaten. My guardian angel bought me in the “nick” of time then got me to Ironwood.
Robin, Mac, & Bisquick
We live in Gotham City, the home of Batman and Robin. Look at this giant puddle to play in after a rainstorm! We had so much fun!
Cricket
My family and I were saved from a bad place where we were fed very little, mostly trash. How nice to be fed every day and to feel safe all the time!
Nikita & Calypso
We were “evidence” in a criminal case of animal abuse. Our previous home was like living in a horrible nightmare! We are so lucky to be safe and sound now.
Faline
I came here when I was a baby after my human mom got arrested for animal abuse. Now I’m all grown up and the boss of the North Field herd.
Barton
The family dog bit a big chunk of my lip off. It left me with a jaunty smile! I came here to be in a safer place.
Hercules
I got sort of aggressive with the kids at my home, so I came here. I’m so much happier and at ease being with other pigs in the Comanche’s Field herd.
Mozart
I would bust out of my pen all the time and run loose in the neighborhood. I’m much better behaved and happier living at Ironwood!
Phil & Puppy
We live in the Far East Field with a big herd of piggies. We are good buddies but also have a whole gang we enjoy hanging out with.
Pua
I was bought from a breeder of “micro mini” pigs. That translates into starving me to keep me small! My human mom got in trouble with her HOA and had to get rid of me. Yay! Now I can eat like a pig is supposed to!
Riley
My mom was rescued and came here to give birth to me and my brothers. The boys have a field of our own called the Frat House. How cool is that!
Shelley
I live in the Main Field with a big herd of pigs. I’ve made lots of friends, but still like hanging with my mom and sister the most.
Wilbert
Most days you can find me napping under my favorite creosote bush or in a wallow if it’s hot or in my house if it’s cold. I love napping anywhere, any time!
Wilburt
I’m a mixed breed pig with these cool dangly things called wattles on my jawline. I’m also bigger than my pot-bellied pig friends.
Blossom and Ivan
We are sister and brother, rescued in 2023 after our human went to prison. So glad we ended up here together!
Oscar B. and Natasha
We both came here in 2017 from different homes then became good friends after living in the same herd.
Rubble
I was a stray who had the great luck of wandering onto the property of a lady who worked at Ironwood. She knew just what to do!
Bob
My brothers, Blackie and Snort, and I were saved from being slaughtered. What a relief to end up at Ironwood instead!
Aloysia
I’m part of a large family rescued from a neglect/abuse case. It is so great to be here safe and well cared for!
Meadow
My family was removed by the Sheriff due to abuse and taken to a horse rescue. Later we all came here to be with other pigs.
Oscar
I was abandoned at my owners’ parents’ home. They disliked me and asked Ironwood to take me. I’m lucky to be where I’m wanted!
Petals & Butterfly
Our family was rescued from a hoarding situation. We first went to a foster home but later came to the sanctuary.
Popsicle & Otter Pop
We’re sisters! Our human moved out of state, dumped us off at her parents’ house, then we came to live here.
Rodeo
My brothers and I were part of a hoarding/abuse case a few years ago. We are so lucky to be together here at Ironwood!
Winston
I was saved from a mean owner but had nowhere to stay but in a horse trailer. ☹ Thank goodness that person found Ironwood!
